Wah, time has wings! So fast, it is coming to the end of July! It is good to be able to sit down and blogged about what happened these few weeks and to give thanks to God!
Thank God for my new job! I think this is a job which is really developing my administrative skills. All along, I am quite a ”sui xing” person. Ha, one can tell when they see the way I saved my files all over the place in my computer! It is really quite hard to find what I want to find at times! But in my new job, I need to be really very organised! Really very difficult in the beginning, prayed a lot, and complained a lot too…
Recently, I heard through a mp3 sermon from a pastor, from New Hope church in Hawaii,Wayne Cordeiro who taught from the passage of Exo 15, about the time when the Israelites encountered water that was Bitter! They complained against Moses. But Moses had a different response, he cried out to God and God made a way for the water to be sweet and drinkable again! The pastor taught that when we encounter difficult situations in our life, we could CRY OUT to God rather than complain. So once, when my job gets very tiring and difficult, I complained to myself and to God..”why is this so troublesome! I dun feel like doing it!” More and more negative thoughts come. But suddently God reminded me that instead of complaining, I could CRY out to Him just like Moses. The word of God came as a comfort and so I obeyed the voice of God and CRIED out to him to help me! It wasn’t easy but I tried to put aside my negative thoughts towards the job and continue to persevere on. Gradually, the work became more managable with the help of some people like Lixiong and Yen Wah… Thank God for them. Thank God for His words that came at the right time to help me through my difficult time!
I highly recommend listening to Wayne Cordeiro’s mp3 sermons! His sermons are very inspiring and entertaining as well. Somehow he has a knack of making God’s principles so clear and applicable in our lives! Thanks to Ee lee who highly recommended him to me! I have been very blessed with his teachings recently.
